Code Enforcement and Zoning

Conway’s Code Enforcement Officer is Harshman CE Group, LLC 


The Zoning & Code Enforcement Officer is appointed by Council and does not serve a set term.  The Code Enforcement Officer handles property complaints, plan reviews, and issues building permits as well as certificates of occupancy for new residential or commercial buildings.  The Officer also ensures that property upkeep is maintained in accordance with existing ordinances, in particular that grass and shrubs are cut / trimmed appropriately, and that no garbage, abandoned vehicles, etc…..are improperly stored on any property within the Borough. 

Permits are required for the following:

  • All Signs
  • Fences
  • Occupancy of a building
  • Additions or remodeling other than non-structural repairs
  • Swimming pools – construction of above or in-ground pools, which must be fenced to comply with the Borough Ordinance

Before starting any construction, contact the Code Enforcement Officer or the Borough Secretary’s Office.

Click Here for the Zoning Complaint Form (complete, print and submit to the borough secretary).  Please let us know if you see a potential violation of the Conway Zoning codes by completing the above form. The Conway Zoning / Code Enforcement Officer will investigate all complaints and will take appropriate action to resolve all violations.
